Parrot Aviary
Parrot breeding records — pairs, clutches, broods and the aviary's books
A parrot aviary lives by its own calendar: pairs settle on a clutch, chicks hatch days apart, rings have to go on in time — and six months later nobody remembers which pair that green male came from.
Parrot Aviary keeps those records for you: on your phone, offline, with no sign-up and no subscription.
Who it is for
Breeders of budgerigars, cockatiels, lovebirds, macaws, greys and other species who keep more than one pair and produce offspring regularly. The app is built around the breeding task: pairs, clutches, broods, parentage and money.
Why not a notebook
A notebook will not tell you that this chick came from the third brood of that pair, and it will not calculate what the season cost. In the app, birds are linked by parentage, and expenses and sales are tied to specific individuals — so the totals are visible at once rather than after an evening with a calculator.
What it does
A card for every bird
Photo, name, species, colour, sex, hatching date, ring number. The whole history of a bird in one place instead of three different notebooks.
Parentage and offspring
Enter the parents and you can see which pair the bird came from and what has been bred from it. This matters especially when you keep many birds that look alike.
Pairs and broods
The pair, the laying date, the number of eggs, the chicks that hatched. Every chick becomes a card and stays in the aviary's tree even after being sold.
Income and expenses
Chick sales, feed, vitamins, cages, the vet. It becomes clear what the aviary costs to run and what it brings in.
Observation journal
Dated notes on a specific bird — moulting, treatment, behaviour, weight. The history builds itself and nothing is forgotten between seasons.
Statistics with filtering
A summary for a period across the whole aviary or for a single bird — how much was spent on it and how much it returned.
Species reference
Keeping, feeding and breeding notes by parrot species — at hand when you need to check something.
Your data is only yours
Stored on your phone, with no accounts and no cloud. An automatic backup to a folder you choose remains even if the app is uninstalled.
What it looks like
Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable if I only keep a single pair of budgies?
It will work, but the app is built for breeding. If the birds are simply pets and no offspring is planned, most of its features will be unnecessary.
Does it need an internet connection?
No, everything works offline. A connection is only needed to display adverts.
How do I move the aviary to a new phone?
Export the data to a file and import it on the new device. Photos are transferred together with the records.
Will my data survive a reinstall?
If automatic backup to a permanent folder is enabled, yes. The copy sits outside the app and survives its removal.
How much does it cost?
The app is free and shows adverts.
